Andrea M. Pawley

Andrea M. Pawley is excited to represent neighbors as the ANC-6D04 Advisory Neighborhood Commissioner. She has lived in Southwest D.C. since 2003 and has been heavily involved in neighborhood-level advocacy related to development and construction. Andrea is committed to ensuring Southwest residents shape the future of Southwest. Her priorities as Commissioner are to foster resilient neighborhoods, to grow public spaces for the use and enjoyment of the community, to ensure that Southwest infrastructure meets the needs of current Southwest residents, and to plan for the needs of those who may live in Southwest in the future.

A former Federal employee, Andrea has worked at the National Institutes of Health, the National Aeronautics and Space Administration, the United States Coast Guard, the National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration, and the Department of Treasury. Her work has encompassed all aspects of Federal budget and planning plus many aspects of agency oversight. She now writes science fiction and fantasy in addition to working for the Science Fiction and Fantasy Writers Association.

Andrea believes that Southwest D.C. is the best quadrant in the best city in the world.
