Marquell Washington is a dedicated community advocate and leader serving as the Advisory Neighborhood Commissioner (ANC) for Ward 6. With a strong commitment to fostering collaboration, equity, and progress, Marquell focuses on amplifying the voices of residents and addressing the diverse needs of the community.

Marquell brings over a decade of professional experience in business administration, community engagement, and public service. He has worked with various organizations, including Connell Wise & Associates, where he served as a Fellowship Scholar, and Street Entrepreneurs, where he led marketing and recruitment initiatives. His background includes roles in communications, hospitality, and project management, equipping him with a versatile skill set to navigate complex challenges and drive impactful solutions.

As ANC Commissioner, Marquellprioritizes issues such as affordable housing, public safety, youth programs, and economic development. He is passionate about creating opportunities for underserved populations, including disadvantaged youth and returning citizens, and fostering an inclusive environment where all residents can thrive.

Marquell holds an Associate of Arts in Business Administration and Management and has pursued further studies at Howard University. In addition to his role as Commissioner, he is actively involved in local initiatives, including his work as a DJ and event organizer, where he brings people together through music and shared experiences.

Marquell is committed to transparency, accessibility, and being a true advocate for the residents of Ward 6. His approach is rooted in listening to the community, building partnerships, and implementing practical solutions to improve the quality of life for all.
